The exhibition Golden Years honors the 100th anniversary of Dutch photographer Paul Huf. With his unprecedented network and innovative use of color, Huf was known as one of the most important advertising, fashion and portrait photographers in the Netherlands from the 1950s onward.

After their opening words, ShuShu Sieberns will do a live performance at 18.10 hrs. During the performance, the artist will read poetry in three languages, light a candle and walk with the audience into Foam's garden. The performance references the film

. Foam is happy to join this annual botanical event in Amsterdam, which opens a series of canal gardens, both private and institutional, to the public. Take this opportunity to enjoy our restored garden, normally not open to the public. The Foam Café will serve delicious coffee, tea and a variety of sweets.

Open Garden Days play a vital role in keeping historic gardens accessible. Grand old trees, rare plants, beautiful garden houses and both classic and newly landscaped gardens can be admired in the secluded plots, which are rarely, if ever, open to the public.

The exhibition reflects on the courage and resilience of the millions of refugees worldwide who are forced to leave their familiar surroundings and build a new life far from home. The groundbreaking portraits are created by photographer Coco Olakunle to change the narrative surrounding refugees and to amplify their personal voices. 

She captured the KLABU community in refugee camps such as Kalobeyei (Kenya) and Lesbos (Greece) through close collaboration, giving refugees control over how they are portrayed.
