 alumna Hajar Benjida. The exhibition focusses on Magic City, an influential strip club in Atlanta that serves as a cultural epicenter where hip-hop culture and entertainment converge. This exhibition, Benjida pays tribute to the women behind Atlanta’s influential hip-hop scene—a city she considers pivotal in shaping the global sound of the genre. They act as the unofficial gatekeepers of the community.

Foam pays tribute to the legacy of British photographer 

. Bringing together a selection of his most iconic works, the exhibition celebrates Parr’s unmistakable way of seeing, witty societal observations and enduring fascination with the role of photography in everyday life. 

Join us on Thursday 2 April from 17.00 to 21.00 hrs for the opening of the exhibition. This marks Parr’s first solo museum exhibition in the Netherlands in more than twenty years.

Foam is undertaking a sustainability renovation to prepare its historic building on the Keizersgracht for the future. From 2 March to 8 October 2026, the museum will carry out a phased renovation to improve the building’s sustainability standards. Throughout the works, the museum will stay open and will showcase a limited number of exhibitions.

Visitors may notice signs of work during their visit, such as noise or temporary changes to visitor routes. We aim to keep any inconvenience to a minimum. Foam remains open almost the entire time, with a temporary closure from 27 August to 16 September 2026. We reopen on 17 September with a festive opening of three new exhibitions.
