Come join us for an interactive cooking workshop celebrating the latest issue of Foam Magazine, titled 

 During this event, managing editor Katy Hundertmark will give a short presentation about Foam Magazine. Afterwards, you will be guided through the preparation of a simple Okinawan meal with mostly vegan dishes by magazine contributor Chieri Higa, while participating in a 

conversation around food heritage, belonging, authenticity and food as a vehicle for political conversation. 

At the end of the event, we will enjoy the prepared meal together.

Foam Magazine is delighted to unveil the new issue #54: PLAY! The Game Changing issue, at Athenaeum Nieuwscentrum, Friday the 20th of September.

Play is one of the founding pillars that allows us to discover the world. To play is to learn how things work, how we behave, interact, and how we can solve problems. It fuels our scientific thirst for experimenting, the enchantment towards the magic of discovery, and the frustration of failure. It is also crucial in informing how we perceive and experience reality, and how we create a new, alternative reality that we might be able to control. PLAY!&nbsp;investigates the powers at play in our society and its subversive, irreverent potential. It looks at its healing powers, the relief that comes from unlocking energy, creativity, and unexpected ghosts.

Foam Magazine, which was recently voted Best Photography Magazine of the Year at the Lucie Awards in New York City, contains portfolios that are deliberately printed on different types of paper. During an exclusive evening for Club Foam members, artistic director Marcel Feil and managing editor Elisa Medde will explain how the magazine is created and give a preview of the new issue that will be published at the end of December.
