Presenting Foam Magazine #64: EXTREMES—The Environmental Issue

Time to change perspective.

Foam Magazine #64 Extremes - The Environmental Issue Cover: Abundance, 2023

On Transience – The Ebb & The Flow

Foam is undertaking a sustainability renovation to prepare its historic building on the Keizersgracht for the future. From 2 March to 8 October 2026, the museum will carry out a phased renovation to improve the building’s sustainability standards. Throughout the works, the museum will stay open and will showcase a limited number of exhibitions.

Visitors may notice signs of work during their visit, such as noise or temporary changes to visitor routes. We aim to keep any inconvenience to a minimum. Foam remains open almost the entire time, with a temporary closure from 27 August to 17 September 2026. We reopen on Thursday evening, 17 September, with the festive opening of three new exhibitions.

We feel her presence in these images, where gentle interactions and encounters of vulnerability burst into power. We sense her deep connection to those she photographs. We feel her entanglement with the complexity of the situation.
