Easter at Foam
During Easter weekend, children can come to Foam and enjoy an array of Easter-themed activities. They can indulge in all the current exhibitions with their very own Safari backpack, which includes special playing-cards to guide them through the exhibitions.

Delight in Easter brunch or participate in the walk-in workshop and visit the exhibitions William Eggleston - Los Alamos and Daisuke Yokota - Matter, now at Foam.

Come feast your eyes on the stunning colour photography of William Eggleston in the exhibition Los Alamos. The exhibition features photographs taken on the artist's various road trips through the Southerns states of the USA between 1966 and 1974. Equally impressive is Daisuke Yokota's way of redefining how photography is presented in the exhibition Matter. Finally, visit the mysterious world of Stéphanie Solinas - Dominique Lambert / Le Pourquoi Pas? or dive into the complexity of Mexican society in Foam 3h: Foam X Hydra.

WALK-IN WORKSHOP

William Eggleston, Louisiana, 1971 – 1974, from the series Los Alamos, 1965 - 1974 © Eggleston Artistic Trust / Courtesy David Zwirner, New York/London

What technical aspects do you have to deal with when you apply colour to a photograph? How does it affect light or contrast in the image? What is the difference between a black and white photo and the same photograph in colour? In this workshop, you will work some of William Eggleston's most popular photographs and use watercolour paint and coloured pencils to experiment with the colour composition. Compare your end result with the original Eggleston: what is the difference and what does your application of colour do to the image?
