In conjunction with the exhibition Foam Talent, on view in London from 16 May until 16 June 2019, Foam is organising a morning of talks at Autograph ABP on Thursday 16 May.

Each year, Foam Talent Call attracts over 1800 artistic projects. After reviewing all the tremendously diverse portfolios, the editors manage to select 20 entries that contain the most striking images. When examined closer, recurring themes begin to emerge amongst the bodies of work. Join us on a journey inside the minds of the artists as they reveal the stories behind the images and how they relate to identity, the photographic process and the world around us.

Programme

  1. STRATEGIES OF INVESTIGATING THE MEDIUM
How can the photographic process be deconstructed in order to reflect on that which is constructed.

Panel conversation with Lilly Lulay and Gregory Eddi Jones, moderated by Mirelva Berghout (Project Coordinator Foam).

  2. INTERACTING WITH PLACE/SPACE
On how the interaction between humans and place/space creates identities.

Panel conversation with Salvatore Vitale and Sylvain Couzinet-Jacques, moderated by Marcel Feil (Artistic Director Foam).

Admission to the event is free and you can sign up here.
