Foam @Playground: DIADISCO
Three projectors, an 8mm projector and old snapshots. A romantic sunset, the '93 solar eclipse, staring up at a starlit sky, night swimming in France... Projected images, some more familiar than others, set the tone for an evening of drinking and dancing with DIADISCO at Roest.

Usher in the weekend with Foam on Friday, 11 December at 18.00. DIADISCO will animate the Playground area with vinyl records, 8mm films and hundreds of carefully selected slides projected rhythmically with music by DJ Cinema Royale and Lumière. DIADISCO is the brainchild of Bert Hana (actor and theatre maker) and Dagmar van Wersch (photographer). The project is an ode to the (amateur) photographer who lovingly captures his subject. Using their vast collection of 8mm films and dia slides, van Wersch and Hana will fill the evening with a unique sequence analogue visuals.

DJs Cinema Royale and Lumière, big names both in Amsterdam and internationally, will be behind the turntables. Cinema Royale is an obsessive record collector whose passion for sharing timeless music has brought him where he is today. From Boogie, Disco, Eighties and African, to innovative Dance Music - his flawlessly mixed beats flow in a way you've never heard before. Unless you've already heard him before at Jimmy Woo, Club Up or Dekmantel...

The Amsterdam-based dj-duo Lumière consists of siblings Arthur and Isabella van Marle. Together they've been playing old-school house, disco and deep house for over two years. With their positive vibe and broad tastes they have been in many major festivals such as Amsterdam Open Air, Valhalla, various ADE parties and they are an integral part of the club evenings of Kreativ (Studio 80) and Nachtdivisie (Chicago Social Club).
