Artist Talk Stefanie Moshammer
For the occasion of the exhibition <a href="/museum/programme/stefanie-moshammer">Stefanie Moshammer</a> - <a href="/museum/programme/stefanie-moshammer">Tomorrow of</a> <a href="/museum/programme/stefanie-moshammer">Yesterday</a>, Foam organises a talk with the artist on Thursday 14 December.

The work of Stefanie Moshammer is often characterised by a play between documentary photography and the artist's own creative process. In Tomorrow of Yesterday the tension between the two is present as ever. On the one hand visitors can be seduced by colourful and at first glance joyful images, however, on a deeper level, these photographs provide a glimpse into recent socio-cultural conditions on the Haitian island of Île-à-Vache, which the artist visited in November 2016 and March 2017.

In conversation with curator Mirjam Kooiman, Moshammer will further discuss the creation of the series with special attention to the history of Haiti and the environmental conditions. Beyond the initial impact of Moshammer's stunning imagery is an underlying opportunity to reflect on global issues.

7pm: Artist talk with Stefanie Moshammer and Foam curator Mirjam Kooiman
