Nagaoka

Ricardo Nagaoka, a Japanese-Latino photographer, was born in 1993 in Paraguay to Japanese immigrant grandparents. They moved to Canada in their teens and studied photography at the Rhode Island School of Design. Now based in Portland and Los Angeles, Nagaoka's work delves into themes of home, selfhood, and identity, critically examining societal constructs. They were selected as one of the twenty artists for Foam Talent 2024-2025.
