Foam Talent
Foam proudly presents the work of 20 artists shaping the future of photography in the group exhibition Foam Talent 2024-2025. The exhibition brings together artists from across the world, their work signifying a bold new direction in the photographic arts.
About the exhibition
Drawing from a rich pool of 2,480 submissions across 106 countries, the 20 selected artists encapsulate a wide array of visions and perspectives.
Central to the exhibition is a strong engagement with pressing societal themes, as artists question themselves and the world, exploring allegories of individual and collective existence. Their practices act as conduits for reflection, challenging viewers to ponder the layered relationship between personal identity and the wider social narrative.
Spanning various mediums and techniques, from photography to installations, the works embody a dialogue between the past and the present. Each piece is a thread in the larger chronicles of cultural and historical significance, drawing on the power of photography to narrate and connect.
Artists in the exhibition
Featured in Foam Magazine #65: Talent
The Foam Magazine Talent 2024-2025 issue brings together 20 innovative voices in photography from across the world. The selected artists create thoughtful reflections of our times: some allow us to see the world as it was through its archives, others bear witness to today’s sociopolitical affairs and some step into the future by inviting new technologies into their practice.
In addition to the portfolios, we are also delighted to present enlightening conversations between Korean curators Sunyoung Kim and Hyunjung Son, and between Foam Magazine and our long-standing Foam Talent partner Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation, represented by Anne-Marie Beckmann and Mariama Attah. The four of them discuss, each with their unique perspective, the present and future of photography within their institutions.
Foam Talent Digital presents the work in a truly multi-medial way, inviting you to look, listen and interact with the inspiring stories of Foam Talent 2024-2025. Highlighting connections, this interactive network brings all talents together and maps our their distinct, artistic viewpoints.
