Lina Geoushy is an Egyptian documentary photographer based in London and Cairo. She aims to tell stories that deconstruct and question the public’s perception of the prevailing power of patriarchy. Her work explores topics such as gender, socio-politics, and women’s empowerment issues.
A wide variety of organisations around the world have recognised and supported Geoushy's projects through awards and exhibitions, including Foam, British Journal of Photography, Lens Culture, The Guardian and Vice. Geoushy was named Documentary Photographer of the Year by The Royal Photographic Society in 2019. Geoushy is currently completing an MA in Documentary Photography and Photojournalism at the London College of Communication.
