A record number of submissions for Foam Talent Call 2026
Press release | Amsterdam, November 2025
This year’s Talent Call features a remarkably diverse pool of talents from 107 countries. The 2.892 submissions, which include 5.784 projects and 55.303 images, showcase a broad spectrum of artistic focus and creative ingenuity.
Since 2007, the Foam Talent Call has been the core step in Foam’s ongoing commitment to scout, present and support talented image-makers worldwide. Since then, it has become one of the most prestigious international open calls for emerging photographers—helping to launch the careers of numerous artists around the world by giving their work exposure and recognition. Former talents are Philip Montgomery, Carmen Winant, Olgaç Bozalp, Sara Cywnar, Jack Davison, Myriam Boulos, Vasantha Yogananthan and many more.

Career-Building Opportunities
Foam Talent aims to scout, showcase and support the newest and most promising talent in contemporary photography, globally. The programme offers a wide range of career-building opportunities, beginning with publication in Foam Magazine’s Talent Issue. Their work will be exhibited across multiple Foam touchpoints, including an exhibition in Foam, a travelling exhibition, and Foam Magazine’s digital platform. Throughout the Foam Talent programme, artists have the chance to meet and connect with curators, writers, artists, and peers, building lasting professional relationships. Each year, the work of one selected artist is acquired by the prestigious Art Collection Deutsche Börse, one of the world’s most significant collections of contemporary photography.
New: Ones to Watch
For this edition, the Foam Talent platform will be expanded to include a wider spectrum of emerging artists from across the globe. Next to the 15 artists selected for the full Foam Talent 2026 programme, an additional 15 emerging talents will be recognised under a newly introduced Ones to Watch category.
Artists designated as Ones to Watch will have their work presented within a thematic feature in the print edition of Foam Magazine’s Talent Issue, as well as in a dedicated solo feature on Foam Magazine’s online platform.
