De tentoonstelling <a href="/nl/museum/programma/alec-soth-i-know-how-furiously-your-heart-is-beating">I Know How Furiously Your Heart Is Beating</a> van Alec Soth bestaat uit portretten van bijzondere mensen in hun leefomgeving en stillevens van hun persoonlijke bezittingen. Bekijk de tentoonstelling samen met curator Hinde Haest in deze online videotour terwijl we inzoomen op de werken en inzicht geven in de inspiratiebronnen achter deze intieme en introspectieve fotoserie.

OVER DE TENTOONSTELLING Het meest recente project&nbsp;<a href="/nl/museum/programma/alec-soth-i-know-how-furiously-your-heart-is-beating">I Know How Furiously Your Heart Is Beating</a>&nbsp;is het resultaat van een persoonlijke zoektocht en markeert een vertrek van Soths eerdere werk. De fotograaf vertraagde zijn werkproces en keerde de lens naar binnen. Foam presenteert de eerste museale tentoonstelling van zijn nieuwe serie, bestaande uit stillevens van bescheiden bezittingen en portretten van uitzonderlijke mensen in hun persoonlijke omgeving.
De werken in de tentoonstelling zijn in bruikleen van Loock Gallery in Berlijn en particuliere bruikleengevers. 
Foam wordt ondersteund door de BankGiro Loterij, De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, Foam Members, Gemeente Amsterdam, Olympus en de VandenEnde Foundation.

, de eerste solotentoonstelling van kunstenaar Jasmijn Vermeeren. Vanuit een persoonlijk perspectief belicht Vermeeren het leven met een onzichtbare beperking, fysiek en/of mentaal; een onderwerp dat in dialogen over diversiteit en inclusie vaak onderbelicht blijft. 

 biedt een intieme ervaring die bezoekers uitnodigt om zich te verplaatsen in het dagelijkse bestaan van mensen voor wie dit leven de norm is.

Door middel van fotografie, video en sculpturaal werk reflecteert Vermeeren op haar eigen ervaringen met chronische pijn en de maatschappelijke aannames rond gezondheid en identiteit. Ze identificeert zich als 

: een term die verschillende vormen van beperking omvat, zoals fysieke, mentale, sensorische en leerstoornissen. Vermeeren daagt daarmee normatieve opvattingen over functionaliteit en normaliteit uit. 

 verwelkomt bezoekers in de wereld van de kunstenaar, waar emoties welkom zijn en ruimte wordt geboden voor reflectie, om zo te herontdekken wat het betekent om
