Foam Talent 2016
Gallery Mercatorplein is a temporary photo exhibition in the public space.

For this exhibition, works of the 24 Foam Talents of 2016 are put on display as an introducing preview of their diverse works. The selected artworks have been carefully picked by the editors of Foam Magazine.

After Mercatorplein, the exhibition will be presented during Unseen Photo Fair (23 - 25 September) at the Westergasterrein area in Amsterdam. Portfolios of all of the selected Talents have also been published in the latest issue of Foam Magazine, #45.

PHOTOGRAPHY OF THE FUTURE
Foam discovers talent first and foremost for our visitors and readers, to ensure that a wide audience will get to know about the developments in photography and the big names of the future. This could be through exhibitions inside and outside the Amsterdam museum; in exhibition spaces throughout the Netherlands; through the magazine; through lectures, discussions and artist talks; or on the spotlight blog. Foam affirms their importance as the international institute for contemporary photography especially by taking calculated risks and presenting the innovative work of young photographers.

ABOUT GALLERY MERCATORPLEIN
Foam has been working for years with West district and has 2016 three exhibitions in the public space on the Mercatorplein. After the work of Simon Wald-Lasowski, the work of Foam Talent 2016 is enriching the Amsterdam square. With Gallery Mercatorplein Foam project wants to contribute to the goal of Amsterdam-West to Mercatorplein the living room of De Baarsjes stature. Foam regularly outside its walls with exhibitions on location to introduce the widest possible audience with photography.
