On Earth brings together the work of 25 contemporary artists who use innovative imaging strategies to reflect on the evolving relationship between humans and nature. With a few exceptions, image-makers no longer traverse the land – camera in hand – to document their surroundings. Alongside photography, the artists make use of installation, sculpture, in-game photography and video.
The opening is also an occasion to raise a glass to Marloes Krijnen, Foam’s founder and director, who will be leaving Foam after 18 years. You are welcome from 17.00 hours onwards. The exhibition is on view until 22 September 2019 in Arles.
