Museumnacht Amsterdam 2025

Join us during Museumnacht 2025 and experience an evening full of art, creativity, and music. Together with Afrovism, Foam invites you to explore a new way of looking at art and to ask: what does it mean to represent yourself in a world where image formation has become all-important?

In a series of workshops, installations, and performances, young creators explore the relationship between identity, representation, and image. From collage workshops with Sisters Janssen to jewelry making with Goldiie, a photobooth inspired by the work of Co Rentmeester, and vinyl listening sessions with 1.06 Library. This Museumnacht has everything to spark curiosity, creativity, and connection.

Fragments of the Archive: Identity and Image Formation

During Museum Night, we invite you to question, distort and reinvent your own image. In an age where images circulate faster than ever, but rarely show who we really are, it is time to take control.

This Museum Night, Foam asks the question: what does it mean to represent yourself in a world where image formation has become all-important? In a series of workshops, installations, and performances, young creators explore the relationship between identity, representation, and image. From jewellery as a sculptural expression of origin and memory, to collages that question and distort existing images. From redrawing archive photos to capturing your own face in a photographic installation.

Foam and Afrovism invite you not only to express yourself, but to reflect. Which stories are preserved, passed on, and which are erased? And what happens when we break open those archives and bring them back to life? This Museum Night, visitors are not only spectators, but creators of a new visual narrative.

Get Tooth Gems with 95Gems

What started as a passion for creative self-expression has grown into a leading name in the world of tooth gems — from classic subtle stones to custom designs, grillz and ear piercings. 95Gems is known for its high-quality, safe and stylish tooth gems.

Decorating teeth with precious materials is a centuries-old tradition. Modern grillz culture, however, began in the 1980s in the U.S., pioneered by Eddie Plein. After breaking a tooth in Suriname, he created removable gold caps, known as grillz, that allowed wearers to express their style without permanent alteration. Since then, grillz have evolved in material, style and craftsmanship, from minimalist stones to complex, custom-made designs.

At 95Gems, it’s more than a tooth gem – it’s an experience that makes every smile unique and unforgettable.

Jewelry making by Goldiie

Join multidisciplinary artist Goldiie (@bygoldiie) for an experimental jewelry workshop where you’ll transform crimp foil into a wearable sculpture. Guided by themes of movement, abstraction, and balance, participants will create unique pieces such as earrings, brooches, necklaces, or keychains. Inspired by the illusions of Blommers & Schumm, this playful session invites you to explore identity, memory, and storytelling through material and design.

Goldiie is a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in Curaçao. Drawing inspiration from her surroundings, family, everyday interactions, and the stories that fill her world, she transforms these influences into art. For her, the creative process is a dialogue with her environment—one that merges culture, design, art, and music.
