Starting 24 February, the solo exhibition of French artist Stéphanie Solinas is on show at Foam. Solinas' work explores contemporary ideas about identity that are informed by practical applications within photography. Also on view are exhibitions of the Japanese master Hiroshi Sugimoto and the Chinese provocateur Ren Hang.
WORKSHOPS
On 22 February, Foam offers a photography workshop for children between 8 and 12 years of age. Kids will draw inspiration from Hiroshi Sugimoto's seminal work, which they will then use to create their own photos.
Adults, don't feel left out! We also have a workshop for you: Shutter Time and Light. During this workshop you will, among other things, experiment with shutter time and light to create an image in which abstraction and detail are combined. Inspiration and techniques for this workshop are again drawn from Hiroshi Sugimoto's practice. This workshop is available in English (25 February) and in Dutch (18 February).

FREE GUIDED TOUR: 2 MARCH
Every Thursday evening, Foam is open until 21.00 hrs and during these evenings you can participate in a free guided tour. Our experienced museum educators challenge you to really look closely at the works, and form your own opinion on the photography in the museum. It is recommended to make a reservation to ensure your spot in the tour. Fully booked? Then skip ahead for the next tour on 9 March.
