Book launch Hortus by Lilia Luganskaia

On Thursday 25 November, artist Lilia Luganskaia will launch her new book Hortus in Foam Editions. In her work, she uses mirrors and plants in a colourful studio setting to create playful images and optical illusions. During the festive opening night, she will be interviewed by freelance curator Daria Tuminas.

About Lilia Luganskaia

The series Hortus is inspired by urban gardens in Amsterdam. Luganskaia combines an interest in her immediate surroundings with floriography, the cryptological communication through the use or arrangement of flowers.

Lilia Luganskaia (1990, RU) is a multidisciplinary artist and author. Her book Investigation of Love was awarded internationally. In her artistic practice, Lilia uses her background in documentary techniques to focus on what she calls ‘investigating reality’.

In 2021 Foam receives additional support from the Mondriaan Fund and Kickstart Cultuurfonds.
