Photographic Treatment © consists of a series of five books, Daily Photo Dose 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, with each thirty black and white photographic diptychs collected and edited by Laurence Aëgerter. Conducted in collaboration with neurologists, gerontologists and psychologists, this project aims to provide a therapeutic tool based on images, in order to improve the wellbeing of senile dementia patients.
Doctor and neurobiologist Dick Swaab, who was involved in the making of the books, will talk about the project, together with the photographer.
Furthermore, that evening we will also present an exclusive print from one of the books. This dyptich of a stone and a panter will be sold as a silkscreen with the scent of eucalyptus, in an edition of 30. The sale of this work will start on the 13th of September, both online and in the gallery.
During the evening there will be a special offer when purchasing the print.
Photographic Treatment © was produced thanks to the Nestlé Prize of the Grand Prix Images Vevey (Switzerland).
