After the enormous success of the Foam Magazine Special - Dummy
Issue in March 2013, we are happy to announce a new Special Issue
to celebrate Foam Magazine. Foam Magazine will release a Special
Issue on December 19th, finishing 2013 with a unique monographic
publication about the work of William Klein. The entire magazine
will be dedicated to the life and work of this legendary
photographer, filmmaker and designer.
This is the seventh edition of Foam Album, an overview of a year
of Foam, full of exhibitions, events, projects, workshops, artists'
talks, openings and much more.
Foam Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam is sinds 2010 actief in
Amsterdam Nieuw-West met de projectlocatie West Side Stories. Nooit
Eind december sluit
West Side Stories, na vier fantastische jaren, de deuren.
The Dalston Anatomy exhibition by Lorenzo Vitturi is an
ode to the sensual pleasures of the bustling London's Ridley
Road Market. "The market is a unique place where you can get
to understand the people of Dalston in Hackney. Everyone together
in this place makes it feel special."
Foam finishes 2014 with a unique retrospective exhibition of the
work of William Klein. The entire museum will be dedicated to the
life and work of this legendary photographer, filmmaker and

Photographer Cristina De Middel (1975, Spain) chose as the
starting point for her project The Afronauts a
little-known episode from Zambia's history. This was a space
programme started by an educator which suddenly entered Zambia in
the space race with the United States and Russia. Its aim was to
put the first African on the moon.
This summer Foam focuses on photography talent even more than
usual with Foam Magazine Talents 2013, a travelling billboard
exhibition displaying the works of sixteen international
photographers selected from submissions made in response to the
magazine's annual Talent Call.
Unseen is proud to announce that the project Inside Out
by French artist JR will be on show during Unseen at site of the
Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam. This will be the first time in
Europe visitors will be able to have their portrait taken in the
new mobile photo studio (26-29 September 2013).
The seventh edition of the Foam Talent Call 2013 had a total of
1566 submissions from 72 different countries, which makes this year
even more successful than last year's Talent Call. Judging the
entries has not been an easy task, but 16 artists have now been
chosen to feature in the Foam Talent issue. We were deeply
impressed by the high quality and variety of all submissions.
