Simon Wald-Lasowski
In For your eyes only, Simon Wald-Lasowksi drew inspiration from ‘the eye’.

Simon Wald-Lasowski set himself the challenge to reinterpret this theme, a recurring subject in art history and religion. In the course of the show, Wald-Lasowski will invite artists, designers and writers to respond to the presentation. The works that emerge, from installations to text, will be displayed successively in the exhibition.

In the exhibition, Wald-Lasowski experiments with ideas such as the all-seeing eye and the evil eye. He turns the viewer’s role as observer around: it is the viewer that feels watched by the works on display. He also refers in his work to the myths of Medusa and the stories about Cyclops.
