Workshop inspired by Gordon Parks
Get inspired by the work of American photographer Gordon Parks during this hands-on workshop.

In his photographs Parks documented important and underrepresented subjects such as poverty, injustice and racism, but he also produced work for commerical magazines like Vogue and Life. In addition to being a photographer he was also a writer, poet, composer, film director and above all a storyteller.

THE WORKSHOP
The workshop starts with an interactive tour through the exhibition I Am You. Selected Works 1942-1978. By conversing with each other you will find inspiration in the subjects and choices of the artist. After the tour you apply what you've observed to your own photography by creating an image that supports a story, article, poem, prose or song that inspires you. Please bring this with you to the workshop.

Ultimately you will select the image that best matches the text. The workshop will end with presenting your results and text to the group and evaluating all the produced work.
