Foam stands for talent. We scout, follow and present new generations of talented image-makers worldwide in order to recognise and inspire exceptional work. Our goal is to devote timely, focused attention to new relevant developments in photography.
This week, we take over our Instagram feed with Les Adu’s personal project I Am in commemoration of George Floyd's death. Moved by the ongoing events surrounding Black Lives Matter, photographer Les Adu took over one hundred powerful portraits of his family, friends and acquaintances to voice their strength, resilience and pride.

Learn more about the exhibition Foam 3h: Les Adu - I Am as Adu explains more about his most recent project. We asked the photographer about his personal relationship to black culture and how the recent Black Lives Matter movement affected him. In addition, the video touches upon the response Adu received on the series and what he hopes to achieve with his current exhibition in Foam.
The exhibition is made possible by the Van Bijlevelt Foundation and Kleurgamma Fine-Art Photolab.
Foam is supported by the BankGiro Loterij, De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, City of Amsterdam, Delta Lloyd, Olympus and the VandenEnde Foundation.
In 2021 Foam receives additional support from Kickstart Cultuurfonds and the Mondriaan Fund.
