Walk-in Workshop Still Life / Food photography
Every Sunday Foam offers free walk-in workshops inspired by the exhibition Feast for the Eyes - The Story of Food in Photography.

During this workshop you will be inspired by photographers from the exhibition who display their very diverse ideas on one of the principal genres of art; Still life. How would a still life made by you look and what types of food would fit in? Think of a festive meal you would prepare for yourself and construct a composition from the food and props available, ending up in a very classical or contemporary work of art. Your best image will be printed to take home.

The walk-in workshops at Foam Studios are appropriate for all ages and are made possible by corporate partner Olympus. Foam provides Olympus-OMD cameras for this workshop.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
Feast for the Eyes shows the rich history of food photography - not only in the visual arts, but also in commercial and scientific photography and photojournalism. From the banality of the diner-breakfast special of Stephen Shore to the allegorical still life of Laura Letinsky, from Roger Fenton's extensive nineteenth-century displays of food to the cookbooks of the Sixties.
