Walk-in Workshop Roger Ballen and Asger Carlsen
Foam offers various walk-in workshops during the summer. You can etch a photogravure, cut and paste a photo collage with other participants or create a photo with a personal story in the Foam Studios, inspired by the current exhibitions at Foam.

Although Roger Ballen lives in Johannesburg and Asger Carlsen in New York, the two artists have been working together for their project No Joke in order to create one result. They sent their photo collages back and forth until both artists considered the artwork to be finished. During the workshop, you will create your own collage together with another participant. You have to work fast, as time is ticking towards the moment you have to pass on your work to the next person!

The walk-in workshops at Foam Studios are available to all ages.

The exhibition Roger Ballen & Asger Carlsen - No Joke is part of Collaborate!. To celebrate its 15th anniversary, Foam is organising a broad range of activities throughout 2017 united by the theme of collaboration, under the title Collaborate!.

The Collaborate! programme is made possible with the support of Fonds21, the Mondriaan Fund, the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds and VSBfonds.

Foam is supported by the BankGiro Loterij, De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, City of Amsterdam, Delta Lloyd, Olympus and the VandenEnde Foundation.
