Foam en de Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation presents Foam Talent 2019, featuring the work of 20 outstanding young artists selected through the annual Foam Talent Call. After the exhibitions in Amsterdam, New York, and London, is this group exhibition on show for the second year in Frankfurt. This year in the building of the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation in Eschborn.

Florentine Riem Vis Stipendium

The Florentine Riem Vis Grant was established in memory of Florentine Riem Vis (1959-2016) with the goal of supporting young photographic talents in the development of their artistic careers.
The grant consists of a sum of € 10,000 and is made available each year for the development and coaching of a talented photographer under the age of 35. The recipient of the grant is invited to exhibit their work at Foam 3h, Foam’s project space for young, up-and-coming photographers.

On Earth – Imaging, Technology and the Natural World

Since its inception, photography has testified to the paradoxical relationship between man, nature and technology. In the wake of great nineteenth-century landscape photographers, a new generation of artists is employing contemporary imaging techniques to document and question our relationship with the natural world – which is increasingly experienced through the very same imaging technologies they employ.
