Foam Talent Call 2012: The selected
photographers
The sixth edition of the Foam Talent Call 2012 opened on January 30
and ended on April 16. There were a total of 974 submissions from
64 different countries, making this year even more successful than
last year's Talent Call. Judging the entries has not been an easy
task but 16 artists have now been chosen to feature in the Foam
Talent issue. We were deeply impressed by the high quality and
variety of all submissions and we are now considering additional
platforms where more than the final 16 can be featured.
Olga Cafiero (CH), Laura El Tantawy (UK/EG), Shane Lavalette
(USA), Marleen Sleeuwits (NL), Giulio Sarchiola (IT), Alejandro
Cartagena (MX), Popel Coumou (NL), Grace Kim (USA), Maroesjka
Lavigne (BE), Fabio Messias (BR), Tomoe Murakami (JP), Noemie
Goudal (FR), Ali Taptik (TR), Antonio Zambardino (IT), Esther
Teichmann (DE/USA) and Samuel Falls (USA).
We're also pleased to announce that the launch
of issue #32/ Talent will take place during the Unseen Photography
Fair in Amsterdam, which includes a large billboard exhibition
of the selected photographers.
The Foam Magazine Talent issue is designed to
showcase young photographers from all over the world. It is one of
the photographic industry's most prestigious contests for young
photographers. It is a career building platform, helping to launch
aspiring talents into the international photography industry and
giving them international acclaim and recognition.
Foam Magazine #32 / Talent
issue will be launched in September 2012
