Kenneth Bamberg
Born in 1981 on the island of Åland in Finland, Kenneth Bamberg
lives and works in Helsinki. After studying at the Novia University
of Applied Sciences in Finland, he went to Belgium to study
photography at the Karel de Grote Hogeschool. The honest and
revealing images of Pay and Spray show unknown,
shadowy and slowly degenerating porn theatres all over Europe.
Kenneth Bamberg visited over two hundred porn theatres in eight
countries for this project.
A selection from Pay and Spray was also shown in
at the Winterthur Museum in the group exhibition
Darkside.
