Foam For You

Light Inspiration (Special Needs)

Photography is impossible without light, so you always make use of light in photography. How can you best use light so that you can create a special photo? Light places emphasis on the subject and influences the feeling of the photo.

Two pupils from the Mytyl-tyltyl School in Amsterdam visit the studio of photographer Marnix Goossens. Marnix photographs portraits and still lifes, as well as a great deal of nature photos - all genres in which light is extremely important. The photographer shows how he uses light in his photos. Then the pupils get to work with a camera to discover for themselves how light influences a photo.

Together they see the difference between:

- Natural and artificial light
- Direct light and backlighting
- Diffused lighting and side lighting.
