Fred Ritchin (United States) is Professor of Photography & Imaging at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where he also co-directs with Susan Meiselas the NYU/Magnum Foundation Photography & Human Rights educational program. He is also director of PixelPress - an organization that works at the intersection of new media, documentary and human rights. Ritchin is the author of After Photography (2008, with translations in Chinese, French, Korean, Spanish and Turkish), and of In Our Own Image: The Coming Revolution in Photography (1990, 1999).
