Robert Philip (1969, The Netherlands) is a photographer and
course leader at the Utrecht School of the Arts (where he graduated
in 1994) and a lecturer at the HU University of Applied Sciences,
also in Utrecht. He published two books (Het huis met de lege
handen and On the Game/Bisnisjongens), but lately is more involved
in teaching in, and research about higher education. He got a
masters degree in Teaching & Learning in Higher Education at
the VU University in Amsterdam in 2011.
His thesis considered the stages of the creative process that
students experience while studying and working on photography
projects. He's also working with entrepreneurs as a coach to
improve the creative climate of their companies and to strengthen
their innovative capabilities. On an irregular basis he is
moderating public discussions and conferences. Running marathons is
keeping him sane.
