Marisa Olson (1977, Germany) is an artist and critic based in New York. Her artwork combines video, performances, drawing and new media installations. Her writing focuses on the cultural history of technology, the politics of participation in pop culture, and the aesthetics of failure. She is Assistant Professor of New Media at the State University of NY and was previously Editor & Curator at Rhizome.
